A pioneer Peruvian restaurant in Japan. Dinner menu is customized as per request. Chupe de langostinos (shrimp chowder) (2,900 yen) is from the cuisine of the second largest city, Arequipa. It’s a mild soup of shrimp extract, fresh cream, and poached egg and served in a hearty amount that can be shared by 2-3 people. Add yellow chili, ají amarillo, to change the taste.

Many kinds of rare Peru-made beers are also in the lineup.

Takahiro Arai, the owner chef. After working at a French restaurant, he learned cooking in Peru for a year before opening Araishoten. He published the first Peruvian cuisine cookbook in Japan.
