Fukuregashi (320 yen~), which is said to have first appeared in the Satsuma area at the end of the Edo period. By adding baking soda to a dough made of flour, sugar, and eggs, it becomes like a chiffon cake when steamed. It has a gentle taste and is made with additive-free ingredients. Hearty Fukuregashi are made in 7 flavors, which include Plain, Muscovado, Matcha, and Cocoa.
Fukuregashi lined up at the storefront. All of them are hand-made without any preservatives or artificial colors. Each one has a unique shape from the hand of its maker.
