This park was designed by Isamu Noguchi, a sculptor, and opened in 2005 after almost 20 years of planning and construction. Geometric forms are used in the hills, fountains, and playground equipment as part of the concept of making the whole park one sculpture. It is also recommended to rent a bicycle (200 yen~) to feel the pleasant summer breeze. The beautiful fusion of nature and art will become a treasured memory.

A hidden fourth floor restaurant in a building near the Tanukikoji arcade. Their Japanese-style menu incorporates traditional ingredients like dashi and kombu stock and mainly uses ingredients from Hokkaido. The menu items pair well with the selected sake and natural wine. The dishes prepared by the owner couple, Mr. and Mrs. Ono, are simple, but carefully prepared, as if they reflect their personalities. Dim sum is also recommended as a side dish for sake.

Meet cute animals! One of the best healing spots in Sapporo.

In the zoo, you can get close to about 170 kinds of animals in a nature-rich location next to the border of the Maruyama primeval forest, a natural monument of Japan. A brew pub where you can taste beer made in the restaurant. You can see the glittering silver stainless tanks in the brewing room from the facade. They brew a new type every week to serve to guests, such as beer made with hops produced in Furano and beer blended with fruit juice from Hokkaido.
